Route Announced for the 2007 Trek!

Stage 2 begins in Rawene and travels south to Pouto Point at the Kaipara Heads.  From Rawene the trek stops over at Waimamaku, Waipoua, Kai Iwi Lakes, Glinks Gully, Rototuna finishing at Pouto. Working closely with local farmers, the unique route takes trekkers off road wherever possible to provide the best the countryside has to offer,

The route is a mix of quiet back country roads, forestry, native bush, beach and farmland following the West Coast of Northland. Traveling through areas not normally accessible to the general public, this is a once in a lifetime opportunity. Farmers are providing access to their land for trekkers to pass through.
