The Great New Zealand Trek has been designed to enable you to travel the length of this stunning country in supported luxury.
It is fully supported with off road access, en route support, luggage transport, camping & yarding, professional caterers, hot showers, massage, bar & café. Add to that movies, jukebox, live entertainment and it is much more than a trek
The open route system is the key to ensuring your enjoyment and safety. Instead of controlling the pace with a lead and end marshall we mark the track in advance, which is off road wherever possible, and position marshalls along the way. You choose your own pace. Marshalls have radio contact with first aid units, bike mechanics, vets, farriers and the pick up vehicle for horses, people & bikes. We appreciate it is a long way and are happy to transport you through to the next location.
Each days trek is up to 30 kms depending on suitable campsite locations. Actual distances and a route map will be posted on the website as they are confirmed.
There really isnt too much to worry about except setting your own pace and following the trail south. Each day a new camp is constructed in stunning locations.
